Travertine Mosaic Tiles

Fourteen mosaic sheets cut from Denizli travertine — the same beds that supply our basins. Travertine carries open pores and a warm, layered tone that shifts between ivory, honey and silver-grey depending on the block, so a sheet run reads as a single continuous surface rather than a repeated pattern.

Finishes here are blasted, distressed and antiqued by hand. Blasting opens the surface and softens the edge; antiquing rounds the corners so the sheet looks quarried rather than machined. Formats run 1x1 and 2x2 square, 1x2 and 2x4 brick, 2x6 and 4x6 combination and 6x12 plank, plus two pattern sets that mix sizes on one mesh.

The range runs across four stones: travertine in light, silver and distressed finishes, marble in beige, black and mixed blends, Emperador for the deepest brown, and limestone for a flatter, chalkier surface. Formats cover 1x1 and 2x2 squares, 1x2 and 2x4 brick, 2x6 and 4x6 combinations, 6x12 planks and 12x12 hexagon and pattern sheets. Surfaces are honed, blasted, distressed or antiqued — the antiquing and distressing are done by hand, which is why no two sheets tile out identically.

Installation Solutions & Easy Maintenance

Sheets arrive mesh-mounted, so they are set like a large tile rather than piece by piece. Use a white polymer-modified thinset behind light stone — grey thinset shows through travertine and pale marble. Because these are natural stone rather than glazed ceramic, seal the sheets before grouting and again afterwards; unsealed stone will take the grout pigment and stain permanently. Order 10 to 15 per cent over your measured area so cuts and pattern matching come from the same batch, since tone shifts between production runs.
