Marble Tables

A solid marble table is one whose top is cut from a single block of stone rather than assembled as a stone-effect sheet over a composite core. Ours are made one at a time, to your dimensions — choose the stone, the length and the base profile and we cut it from a single block, which is not what most of the market sells at this price point.

Four models are shown here as starting points rather than fixed products. Each one can be scaled, and the top can be specified in any stone we carry, including Calacatta Viola for a dining table that will be the only thing anyone looks at.

Two practicalities. A solid stone top at dining scale weighs several hundred kilograms, so the floor and the base both need to be assessed before ordering, and it will be delivered in a crate that needs a two-person lift minimum. And marble is porous: seal it on delivery, reseal annually, use coasters under wine and coffee, and wipe acidic spills immediately rather than letting them sit. Every table is pre-order only; production time is quoted with your specification.

Specifying a table

Tell us the finished length and width, the seating count you are working to, and whether the base should be a solid stone pedestal, a pair of slab legs or a metal frame. We will come back with a price, a production time and a photograph of the block before cutting begins, so you approve the actual veining rather than a sample.

Round and oval tops are turned, which keeps the veining continuous across the surface; rectangular tops are cut plane by plane and take longer to finish because every edge is radiused by hand. Thicknesses of 20 mm read light and modern, 40 mm and above read as solid stone. Both are structurally sound at dining scale; the choice is visual.

Every table is quoted individually. Start the conversation on our custom orders page with the dimensions and stone you have in mind.

Frequently asked questions

What is a solid marble table?

One whose top is cut from a single block of stone rather than assembled as a stone-effect sheet over a composite core.

Can I specify the size?

Yes. Choose the stone, the length and the base profile, and the top is cut to your dimensions from one block.

How much does a marble table weigh?

Custom tops run from roughly 700 to 950 kg depending on length and thickness, so the floor and the delivery route both need checking before delivery.

Are custom tables returnable?

No. Custom and personalised pieces exist only because they were ordered and cannot be returned, so we work through the design with you before anything is cut.
