Every piece is cut from natural stone. Colour, veining and pattern vary from block to block, so the piece you receive will not match the photographs exactly — that variation is the material, not a defect. Small filled pits and tonal shifts are normal in marble and travertine. If an exact tone matters to you, email info@brosmarble.com before ordering and we will photograph the actual piece we would ship.
Where this piece comes from
- Our own quarry. The block is selected in quarries we operate in Turkey and Italy, not bought finished from an importer. See the quarries.
- Our own workshop. Cutting, carving and finishing all happen in Denizli. Nothing is subcontracted. How we make it.
- Fifteen years of it. BROSMARBLE started as a mining business and still runs on that side of the trade. About us.
Marble Blasted Brick Mosaic 2x4 Details
Marble Blasted Brick Mosaic 2x4 Details
Marble Blasted Brick Mosaic 2x4 is natural marble — real quarried stone on a mesh sheet, not a printed or reconstituted tile. Chip format is 2x4. Chips run in a brick bond, which pulls the eye sideways and makes a narrow wall read wider.
Surface and color. The face of each chip is opened mechanically, with no acid and no chemical wash, so it keeps the texture the stone had in the ground. Tone runs through gray. Because it is quarried stone rather than a printed ceramic, no two sheets are identical and batches will not match exactly. Sheets are thinned in production, so they are light enough to go on a wall without a structural allowance.
The stone. Travertine is a sedimentary stone: the small voids across its face are natural and are part of why it reads warm rather than clinical. Each sheet is set by hand rather than machine-laid, so the joint stays even where a mechanical setter would drift.
Where it works. In American homes this sheet usually goes behind a range as a kitchen backsplash, around a tub or shower, or across a powder-room wall. For floor use, check the finish against the traffic the room actually takes.
Setting it. Set it on a flat, primed substrate with a white polymer-modified thin-set; gray adhesive can shadow through a light stone. Plan the layout from the visible corner outward so any cut sheet lands where it is least seen, and dry-lay a few sheets first to mix batches.
What the photographs show. Look at the flat shot first — it tells you the chip size and the joint. Then look at the room shots: a mosaic that reads busy at arm's length often settles down completely once it covers a whole wall.
Ordering. $11.99 per sheet, shipped free anywhere in the US from our Connecticut warehouse. Production and dispatch times are shown on this page; the full schedule is in our Shipping Policy.
Delivery time
Delivery time
Production time. Almost every piece is natural stone cut and finished to order, so production is the largest part of the total. If a Delivery Time is shown above, that is the production time for this item; if none is shown, it ships from stock.
Transit. Counted after production: United States 3–4 business days · United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates 6–12 business days.
Total delivery time = production time + transit. We confirm the exact dispatch date by email after your order is placed.
We do not offer an expedited service — paying more does not shorten production. Fixed installation date? Email info@brosmarble.com before ordering. Full details: Shipping policy.
Measurement, installation & care
Measurement, installation & care
Natural stone is heavy and unforgiving of a bad measurement, so plan before you order.
Measure. Check the dimensions shown above against the space, and check the route in — doorways, stairs, lifts and turns. Confirm the floor, base or counter can carry the weight listed in the specifications.
Install. Use an installer experienced with natural stone. Plan for at least two people at delivery. Seal the surface before first use.
Care. Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral soap. Do not use vinegar, lemon, bleach or any acidic or abrasive cleaner — these etch marble and travertine permanently. Re-seal periodically; wipe spills promptly.
