Every piece is cut from natural stone. Colour, veining and pattern vary from block to block, so the piece you receive will not match the photographs exactly — that variation is the material, not a defect. Small filled pits and tonal shifts are normal in marble and travertine. If an exact tone matters to you, email info@brosmarble.com before ordering and we will photograph the actual piece we would ship.

This basin hangs on the wall. The wall has to carry its full weight, so plan the support before delivery. We make a matching heavy-duty bracket in sizes from 8 to 32 inches — see the bracket. Match the size to the basin width.

This piece is heavy. Check that your vanity, counter or floor can carry the weight above before you order, and plan for two people at delivery. Full guidance is in the measurement & installation guide.

Where this piece comes from

  • Our own quarry. The block is selected in quarries we operate in Turkey and Italy, not bought finished from an importer. See the quarries.
  • Our own workshop. Cutting, carving and finishing all happen in Denizli. Nothing is subcontracted. How we make it.
  • Fifteen years of it. BROSMARBLE started as a mining business and still runs on that side of the trade. About us.

Calacatta Marble Wall-Mount Sink

Calacatta is not a single stone. It is a family of marbles from the same region of Italy, running from a bright white ground with clean grey veining through to the violet-veined Calacatta Viola. Because we buy at the block and cut every basin from one piece, the tone and the movement in your sink follow the block it came from.

About the photographs on this page. This basin is cut from white Calacatta — a white ground with grey veining. The photographs currently shown are of the same model carved in Calacatta Viola, our violet-veined cut, because our white Calacatta photography is still being produced. Use them to judge the shape, proportions, fluting and depth, not the colour. Before you order, email info@brosmarble.com and we will send photographs of the actual white Calacatta block we are about to cut for you.

Mounted on the wall, the basin leaves the floor clear and puts the full length of the stone at eye level. The plain and fluted versions read very differently: plain keeps the veining uninterrupted across the front, while fluting breaks the light along the face and makes the piece feel more architectural.

Sizes and options

  • 46 size combinations, from 16" wide up to 40" wide
  • Depths of 14", 16" and 18"; basin heights of 6" and 8"
  • Front profile: plain or fluted
  • Drain opening 1.75" (4.5 cm), sized for standard US fittings
  • Hand-polished finish, carved from a single block
  • Made to order, production time 1 to 4 weeks

Choosing a size

Width is the decision most people get wrong. Measure the clear wall space first, subtract room for the tap if it is wall-mounted, and remember that a hung basin needs space below it for the trap. In a powder room, 16" to 20" is usually right. Over a 24" to 30" vanity run, a 24" or 26" basin sits comfortably without crowding the wall. Above 32" the piece becomes the focal point of the room and the wall has to carry it visually as well as structurally.

How it is made

We select blocks at the quarry ourselves rather than ordering finished slabs. Rough cutting is done on diamond wire and waterjet equipment in our own workshop in Denizli, Turkey, and every stage after that is by hand: hollowing, edge work, and polishing through several progressively finer passes. Nothing is subcontracted and no part of the finishing is outsourced.

Before you order

Plan the wall support before the sink arrives. Solid stone is considerably heavier than a ceramic basin of the same size and needs timber blocking between the studs. Wall mounting brackets are sold separately. We recommend an installer with solid stone experience. Custom widths and backsplash heights are possible; email us before ordering.

Living with it

Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only. Acidic products, including vinegar, lemon and most limescale removers, will etch a polished marble surface. Reseal once a year. Color, veining and texture vary between blocks, which is inherent to natural stone and is not a fault.

Ordering and delivery

Free shipping within the United States, with 3 to 4 business days in transit once the piece leaves our warehouse. Total time to your door is the production time above plus transit. Full coverage marble and freight insurance can be added at checkout. Returns are accepted within 30 days under our refund policy: return shipping is the customer's responsibility and a 25% restocking fee applies. Any transit damage must be reported within 14 days of delivery.

The stone. Tones run white, purple and black. Because this is quarried stone rather than a manufactured surface, no two basins are identical — the photographs show a representative piece, not the exact one you will get. Carved from a single block of Calacatta marble in our Denizli workshop — no casting, no veneer, no resin filler.

Sizes. 30 sizes are made to order, from 16" to 40" wide, in 14" and 16" depths and 6" and 8" heights. Pick the width against your vanity, not against the room — a basin that overhangs its counter looks wrong from every angle.

Fitting it. Mounted off the wall, this basin leaves the floor clear and makes a narrow room feel wider. Plan the plumbing before the wall is closed up, and fix into solid framing.

What the photographs show. The frames here are interior shots. They tell you how the basin proportions against a vanity, a faucet and a mirror, which a plain-background photograph cannot.

Looking after it. Care is simple but specific: neutral cleaner only, no acid, no abrasive pad. Reseal with a breathable impregnating sealer once a year in a family bathroom.

Ordering. Priced $900 to $3,450 depending on size. Production time is 1–4 weeks. Shipping weight is roughly 110 lb, so it travels freight rather than parcel. Shipping is free within the United States from our Connecticut warehouse. Returns are accepted within 30 days under our Refund Policy.

Delivery time

Production time. Almost every piece is natural stone cut and finished to order, so production is the largest part of the total. If a Delivery Time is shown above, that is the production time for this item; if none is shown, it ships from stock.

Transit. Counted after production: United States 3–4 business days · Canada and Mexico cross-border freight, with the expected delivery window confirmed by email at dispatch.

Total delivery time = production time + transit. We confirm the exact dispatch date by email after your order is placed.

We do not offer an expedited service — paying more does not shorten production. Fixed installation date? Email info@brosmarble.com before ordering. Full details: Shipping policy.

Measurement & installation guide

Marble is heavy and unforgiving of a bad cutout, so measure before you order.

Measure: check the sink dimensions against your countertop cutout and faucet height. For vessel sinks, add the sink height to the vanity height before you decide.

Install: use an installer experienced with natural stone, confirm the countertop or base can carry the weight, and seal the marble before first use.

Questions we are asked

Before you order

Will my piece look exactly like the photographs?

Not exactly, and that is the point. Every basin is cut from a solid block of natural stone, so the veining is decided by geology rather than by us. For a made-to-order piece we photograph the actual block before we start cutting and wait for your approval, so what you see is your stone rather than a sample. Ask us at any point and we will send photographs.

What should I check before I order?

Three things. The width of the vanity or countertop the basin will sit on. The height you want the rim to finish at, which for a counter-top basin means adding the basin height to the vanity height. And the tap, which has to be tall enough to clear the rim. Every dimension for this piece is in the Specifications block above.

How is this basin fixed to the wall?

On concealed brackets fixed into the structure of the wall, never on the trap. We make a matching heavy-duty bracket in sizes from 8 to 32 inches and it is shown under Pairs well with on this page. It has to go into studs or solid masonry; plasterboard alone will not carry the load.

How much does it weigh?

It varies a lot: our basins run from about 8 kg for the smallest travertine bowls up to 160 kg for the largest pedestal, and most sit between 12 kg and 60 kg. The exact weight of this piece is listed in the Specifications block above. Plan the support and the lift before delivery day, and have a second pair of hands there.

Does it fit standard plumbing?

It fits most standard setups. Ask your installer to offer the waste and trap up to the piece before fitting rather than after, since stone cannot be adjusted on site the way a ceramic basin can.

Does marble need sealing?

Yes. Seal it before first use and re-seal periodically. A sealed surface resists marking from soap, cosmetics and anything acidic. Wipe spills rather than leaving them to sit, and use a pH-neutral cleaner rather than anything containing acid or bleach.

How long will it take to arrive?

Production first, then transit. If a Delivery Time is shown on this page, that is the production window for this piece; if none is shown it ships from our United States inventory. Transit is 3 to 4 business days inside the United States, and shipping within the US is free.

Can you make it to my dimensions?

Yes. Send us your measurements and we will quote the piece and give you a production window in writing before anything is cut.

What happens if it arrives damaged?

Tell us within 14 days of delivery with photographs and we will put it right. Full-value marble and freight insurance is available as an optional add-on if you would rather have the transit covered outright.

Can I return it?

Within 30 days, yes. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility and a 25% restocking fee applies. Custom and personalised pieces cannot be returned. Exchanges are available. The full terms are in our refund policy.
