Every piece is cut from natural stone. Colour, veining and pattern vary from block to block, so the piece you receive will not match the photographs exactly β€” that variation is the material, not a defect. Small filled pits and tonal shifts are normal in marble and travertine. If an exact tone matters to you, email info@brosmarble.com before ordering and we will photograph the actual piece we would ship.

This basin hangs on the wall. The wall has to carry its full weight, so plan the support before delivery. We make a matching heavy-duty bracket in sizes from 8 to 32 inches β€” see the bracket. Match the size to the basin width.

This piece is heavy. Check that your vanity, counter or floor can carry the weight above before you order, and plan for two people at delivery. Full guidance is in the measurement & installation guide.

Where this piece comes from

  • Our own quarry. The block is selected in quarries we operate in Turkey and Italy, not bought finished from an importer. See the quarries.
  • Our own workshop. Cutting, carving and finishing all happen in Denizli. Nothing is subcontracted. How we make it.
  • Fifteen years of it. BROSMARBLE started as a mining business and still runs on that side of the trade. About us.

Calacatta Gold Wall-Mount Sink

Calacatta Gold reads warmer than most white marbles. The ground is a soft ivory rather than a cold white, and the veining carries amber and honey tones alongside the grey. Under brass or unlacquered bronze fittings the stone picks up the metal instead of fighting it, which is why this basin is the one interior designers ask us about most often when the rest of the room is warm.

The basin is carved from one block, wall-mounted, with the plumbing concealed below. Because it hangs off the wall, the full width of the stone stays visible, including the fluted face if you choose it.

Sizes and options

  • 13 sizes, from 20" x 14" x 5" up to 40" x 20" x 6"
  • Front profile: plain or fluted
  • Integrated backsplash available as an option; tell us the height you need
  • Drain opening sized for standard US fittings
  • Hand-polished finish, cut from a single block
  • Made to order

Why the stone costs what it does

Calacatta Gold blocks with consistent veining are a small fraction of what a quarry produces. We buy at the block, not by the slab, which means we absorb the waste when the veining does not run the way we want it to. It also means the front face of your sink is chosen deliberately rather than taken from whatever offcut was next in line. Rough cutting is done on diamond wire and waterjet equipment in our own workshop in Denizli, Turkey; the shaping, edge work and polishing are done by hand.

Before you order

This is a heavy wall-hung fixture. The wall needs blocking between the studs and the installation should be done by someone who has fitted solid stone before. Wall mounting brackets are sold separately. If you want a size or backsplash profile that is not listed, email us first and we will confirm feasibility and price before you order.

Living with it

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and nothing acidic. Vinegar, bleach, limescale removers and citrus sprays will dull a polished marble surface. Wipe standing water and rinse after products with strong pigment. Reseal annually. Veining, tone and the position of the gold movement vary from piece to piece, which is the point of buying natural stone rather than a cast composite.

Ordering and delivery

Free shipping within the United States, with 3 to 4 business days in transit after the piece ships. Full coverage marble and freight insurance is available at checkout. Returns within 30 days under our refund policy; return shipping is the customer's responsibility and a 25% restocking fee applies. Report any transit damage within 14 days of delivery.

The stone. The stone sits in the gray, white and gold range. Movement in the veining is natural and is the reason people choose stone over ceramic in the first place. Carved from a single block of Calacatta Gold marble in our Denizli workshop β€” no casting, no veneer, no resin filler.

Sizes. 12 size options are listed in the Size menu.

Fitting it. It hangs off the wall with no vanity underneath, which is why it works so well in a small powder room. The wall behind it has to carry the load β€” see our wall-mount bracket, which fixes to the studs.

What the photographs show. Images show the piece in a finished bathroom rather than isolated on white. Use them to judge how the basin sits against a counter and how the stone reads under normal light.

Looking after it. Blot spills rather than leaving them, use a stone-safe cleaner, and reseal periodically. Treated this way the basin outlasts the bathroom around it.

Ordering. Priced $1,850 to $4,500 depending on size. Shipping weight is roughly 165 lb, so it travels freight rather than parcel. Shipping is free within the United States from our Connecticut warehouse. Returns are accepted within 30 days under our Refund Policy.

Delivery time

Production time. Almost every piece is natural stone cut and finished to order, so production is the largest part of the total. If a Delivery Time is shown above, that is the production time for this item; if none is shown, it ships from stock.

Transit. Counted after production: United States 3–4 business days Β· Canada and Mexico cross-border freight, with the expected delivery window confirmed by email at dispatch.

Total delivery time = production time + transit. We confirm the exact dispatch date by email after your order is placed.

We do not offer an expedited service β€” paying more does not shorten production. Fixed installation date? Email info@brosmarble.com before ordering. Full details: Shipping policy.

Measurement, installation & care

Natural stone is heavy and unforgiving of a bad measurement, so plan before you order.

Measure. Check the dimensions shown above against the space, and check the route in β€” doorways, stairs, lifts and turns. Confirm the floor, base or counter can carry the weight listed in the specifications.

Install. Use an installer experienced with natural stone. Plan for at least two people at delivery. Seal the surface before first use.

Care. Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral soap. Do not use vinegar, lemon, bleach or any acidic or abrasive cleaner β€” these etch marble and travertine permanently. Re-seal periodically; wipe spills promptly.

Questions we are asked

Before you order

Will my piece look exactly like the photographs?

Not exactly, and that is the point. Every basin is cut from a solid block of natural stone, so the veining is decided by geology rather than by us. For a made-to-order piece we photograph the actual block before we start cutting and wait for your approval, so what you see is your stone rather than a sample. Ask us at any point and we will send photographs.

What should I check before I order?

Three things. The width of the vanity or countertop the basin will sit on. The height you want the rim to finish at, which for a counter-top basin means adding the basin height to the vanity height. And the tap, which has to be tall enough to clear the rim. Every dimension for this piece is in the Specifications block above.

How is this basin fixed to the wall?

On concealed brackets fixed into the structure of the wall, never on the trap. We make a matching heavy-duty bracket in sizes from 8 to 32 inches and it is shown under Pairs well with on this page. It has to go into studs or solid masonry; plasterboard alone will not carry the load.

How much does it weigh?

It varies a lot: our basins run from about 8 kg for the smallest travertine bowls up to 160 kg for the largest pedestal, and most sit between 12 kg and 60 kg. The exact weight of this piece is listed in the Specifications block above. Plan the support and the lift before delivery day, and have a second pair of hands there.

Does it fit standard plumbing?

It fits most standard setups. Ask your installer to offer the waste and trap up to the piece before fitting rather than after, since stone cannot be adjusted on site the way a ceramic basin can.

Does marble need sealing?

Yes. Seal it before first use and re-seal periodically. A sealed surface resists marking from soap, cosmetics and anything acidic. Wipe spills rather than leaving them to sit, and use a pH-neutral cleaner rather than anything containing acid or bleach.

How long will it take to arrive?

Production first, then transit. If a Delivery Time is shown on this page, that is the production window for this piece; if none is shown it ships from our United States inventory. Transit is 3 to 4 business days inside the United States, and shipping within the US is free.

Can you make it to my dimensions?

Yes. Send us your measurements and we will quote the piece and give you a production window in writing before anything is cut.

What happens if it arrives damaged?

Tell us within 14 days of delivery with photographs and we will put it right. Full-value marble and freight insurance is available as an optional add-on if you would rather have the transit covered outright.

Can I return it?

Within 30 days, yes. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility and a 25% restocking fee applies. Custom and personalised pieces cannot be returned. Exchanges are available. The full terms are in our refund policy.
