The stone. The color reads black. Veining is whatever the block gave us: the piece you receive will not match the photograph line for line, and that is the nature of the material.

Living with it. Carved from a single block, a stone tub has real thermal mass: it takes longer to warm than acrylic and then holds the heat far longer, which is the whole point of a soaking tub. A one-piece stone bath has no seam to fail and no shell to flex. The trade-off is weight — check the floor structure before it is delivered.

What the photographs show. The frames here show the tub in a finished bathroom and against a plain background. A freestanding stone bath is very hard to judge from a swatch — the interior photographs are the ones that tell you how deep it actually is.

Looking after it. Care is simple but specific: neutral cleaner only, no acid, no abrasive pad. Reseal with a breathable impregnating sealer once a year in a family bathroom.
